The maker

Hello, I'm Elizabeth Ann

I write crochet patterns for people who want to make something soft and a little bit charming — without wading through confusing instructions to get there.

Wood Elizabeth Ann is a tiny one-person pattern studio based in White House, Tennessee. Every design starts as a doodle, becomes a very wonky first attempt, and only turns into a pattern once it's behaving itself.

I started writing my patterns down because friends kept asking how I'd made this or that little animal — and the scribbled notes I handed them were, frankly, impossible to follow. So I rewrote them properly: every round spelled out, every stitch counted, and a photo wherever I remembered tripping up myself.

How my patterns are tested

Before a pattern ever goes in the shop, I stitch it at least twice — once to write it, and again from the written instructions to make sure the counts and shaping actually work when you follow the words on the page. If a step gave me trouble, it gets a photo and a plain-English note.

What you can expect

  • US crochet terms, written out round by round
  • A stitch count in brackets at the end of every round
  • Honest difficulty labels, so nothing surprises you halfway through
  • Beginner notes for the fiddly bits — magic rings, invisible decreases, neat colour changes

If you make something from one of my patterns, I would genuinely love to see it. You can always reach me at woodelizabethann.space@proton.me.

Help & answers

Frequently asked questions

Everything about how the patterns are delivered, what you'll need, and what you're allowed to make. Still stuck? Get in touch any time.

How do I receive my pattern?

Your pattern is a digital PDF. As soon as your payment goes through, a download link appears on the confirmation screen and is also emailed to you — usually within a minute or two. There's nothing physical to ship and nothing to wait for in the post.

What format are the patterns, and can I print them?

Every pattern is a standard PDF that opens on phones, tablets, laptops and e-readers with any free PDF reader. You're very welcome to print a copy for your own use, or keep it on a screen beside you while you work.

I'm a beginner — will I be able to follow these?

Yes — that's exactly who I write for. Each listing shows an honest difficulty level, and patterns marked Beginner use only the basic stitches with extra notes for things like the magic ring and invisible decrease. The Plush Chicken and Little Bee are the gentlest places to start.

What yarn and hook do I need?

Every product page lists the hook size, yarn weight and a finished-size guide up front, and the PDF includes a full materials list. The exact brand or colour is always up to you — amigurumi is very forgiving, so feel free to use what you have.

Which crochet terms do you use?

All patterns are written in US crochet terms (for example, "single crochet" rather than "double crochet"). If you usually work in UK terms, a quick conversion chart is all you'll need.

Do you ship physical items?

No. Wood Elizabeth Ann sells digital patterns only — there are no physical products and no shipping involved. You're buying the instructions to make the item yourself.

Can I sell what I make from your patterns?

Yes — you're welcome to make and sell a reasonable number of finished items from my patterns at craft fairs, local markets or your own small shop. What you may not do is share, resell or republish the pattern itself, in whole or in part. The instructions stay with you; the cuddly things you make are yours to keep or sell.

What's your refund policy?

Because patterns are delivered instantly and can't be returned, sales are generally final once the file has been downloaded. That said, I always want you to be happy — if you're charged twice, can't open your file, or receive the wrong pattern, just email me and I'll put it right. You can read the full refund policy here.

Is paying on this site secure?

Yes. Card payments are processed by Stripe, a leading global payment provider. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never stored on this website.

My download didn't arrive — what should I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder and confirm the email address on your order. If it still hasn't turned up, email woodelizabethann.space@proton.me with the name on your order and I'll re-send your link straight away.

2. What you're buying

Every product in this shop is a digital crochet or amigurumi pattern delivered as a downloadable PDF. There are no physical goods and nothing is shipped. Each product page describes the pattern, its difficulty, the recommended hook and yarn, and the price before you buy.

3. Your licence to use the pattern

When you buy a pattern, you receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use it. In plain terms:

  • You may use the pattern as many times as you like for your own crochet.
  • You may make finished items from the pattern and sell a reasonable number of them — for example at craft fairs, markets, or your own small shop. A simple credit ("pattern by Wood Elizabeth Ann") is appreciated but not required.
  • You may not copy, share, resell, lend, publish, or redistribute the pattern file or its text, in whole or in part, whether free or for payment.
  • You may not claim the pattern as your own or use it to create a competing pattern.

4. Intellectual property

All patterns, photographs, illustrations and text on this site remain the intellectual property of Wood Elizabeth Ann and are protected by copyright. Buying a pattern grants you the licence described above; it does not transfer ownership.

5. Orders, prices & payment

Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and may change over time, but the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never stored by this website. Any taxes that apply will be shown before you confirm your order.

6. Delivery

Patterns are delivered digitally and automatically — see our Delivery & Fulfilment Policy for full details.

7. Refunds

Because patterns are delivered instantly, our Refund Policy explains when a refund is and isn't possible. We always aim to make things right if something has gone wrong with your order.

8. Acceptable use

Please don't use this site for anything unlawful, attempt to disrupt it, or try to access it in ways it isn't intended to be used. We may decline or cancel an order if we reasonably believe it is fraudulent or breaches these terms.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Patterns are tested with care and provided in good faith for your enjoyment. Crochet results naturally vary with the yarn, hook and tension you use, so we can't guarantee your finished item will look identical to the photographs. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a pattern is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms removes any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be waived.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to your order.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms? Email woodelizabethann.space@proton.me and we'll be glad to help.

Delivery & Fulfilment

Everything in this shop is a digital product, so "delivery" means an instant download rather than a parcel.

Digital products only

Wood Elizabeth Ann sells crochet and amigurumi patterns as downloadable PDF files. There are no physical goods, no postage, and no shipping fees of any kind.

How delivery works

  • As soon as your payment is confirmed, a download link appears on the order-confirmation screen.
  • The same link is emailed to the address you used at checkout, so you have a copy to keep.
  • You can download your pattern straight away and save it to your device.

How long it takes

Delivery is automatic and usually immediate — most orders are ready within a minute or two of payment. There's nothing to wait for and no manual processing on our end.

File format & what you need

Patterns are standard PDF files that open on phones, tablets, laptops and e-readers using any free PDF reader. You can read your pattern on screen or print it for your own use.

No physical shipping or customs

Because your purchase is digital, it's available worldwide with no shipping times, import duties or customs paperwork.

If your download doesn't arrive

Please check your spam or junk folder first, and double-check the email address on your order. If your pattern still hasn't arrived, email woodelizabethann.space@proton.me with the name on your order and we'll re-send your link promptly.

Refund Policy

We want you to be genuinely happy with your pattern. Please read this alongside our Terms of Service.

The nature of digital goods

Every product here is delivered instantly as a downloadable file. Once a pattern has been downloaded it can't be "returned" in the way a physical item can, so as a general rule all sales are final once the file has been accessed or downloaded.

When we'll always make it right

That general rule doesn't stop us looking after you. We'll gladly arrange a fix or a refund if:

  • you were charged more than once for the same order;
  • your file won't open or is corrupted and we can't resolve it;
  • you were sent the wrong pattern;
  • you never received your download; or
  • you change your mind before downloading and contact us within 14 days of purchase.

How to request help or a refund

Email woodelizabethann.space@proton.me with the name on your order and a short note about the problem. The more detail you give, the faster we can sort it out.

How long it takes

We aim to respond within 1–2 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe, and the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider.

Chargebacks

If anything seems wrong with your order, please contact us first — we can almost always fix it faster than a chargeback, and a quick email saves everyone the hassle.

Your statutory rights

Some customers (for example in the EU and UK) have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days. For downloadable content, that right ends once the download begins with your consent, which you give at checkout. Nothing in this policy affects any consumer rights you have that can't legally be waived.
